Frequently Asked Questions

From September 2020 all classes will be socially distanced and taught in restricted groups.  Please click here for more information.

On arrival at one of our centres, please speak to our friendly staff at the front desk who will ask you to fill out an emergency contact form. There is also a section to indicate any medical conditions that our teachers need to be made aware of.

For your child’s first class a tracksuit or leggings and a T-shirt is ideal, with soft soled shoes or trainers. All the Arts uniform is kept to a minimum, with our only compulsory garment being our branded T-shirt, with your child’s own choice of black bottoms with jazz shoes or trainers.

All the Arts are happy to offer your child’s first class as a one off, pay on the door trial class (please see our timetable page for individual prices). If your child enjoys their first class, fees for the remaining weeks of the term must be paid in full by your second week!

Strictly no parents are permitted to spectate our classes under any circumstances due to child protection and health and safety concerns. Also we find that a parents presence can be detrimental in building a child’s self-confidence.

At the end of the Spring and Autumn term all classes perform a low pressure, short performance that parents are invited to come and watch. At the end of the Summer term all children will be offered the opportunity to perform in a local show or festival.

The chance to take exams with LAMDA in acting and with the IDTA in dance and partake in festivals and shows is available to all our children who are in the relevant age group. Children are however under no pressure to do this!

T-shirts are available at our front desk and are priced at £15.  We can also supply Hoodies, jazz shoes and dance trainers if required.

In each session there are up to three teachers who work with the children in small groups for focused training. During our LAMDA (drama) exams, the children involved are given a one to one lesson each week to ensure they are suitably prepared for their exam.
